Atal Udyan at Adabari Tiniali, in the erstwhile land of Assam State Housing board, (ASHB), covers a total land area of 8 Bighas. Earlier the land was barren, swampy and unproductive. GMDA had taken initiatives in the year 2017 to convert the site into an open green space and also for the recreational purposes by the residents and their children of the adjoining areas. For this purpose, GMDA had submitted a proposal to the Govt. for “Development of Park at the site of Assam State Housing Board (ASHB)” with an estimated cost of ₹ 8,74,38,000/- . Following which, the Govt. had accorded Administrative Approval vide No.GDD.167/2017/290 dated 10/01/2018 of ₹ 8,74,38,000/- in the year 2017. Accordingly, tender was floated vide NIT No. GMDA/DEV/64/Part/2017/12 dated 30/11/2017 and the work was finally allotted to the successful bidder M/s Pyramids Construction.
